International Student can now stay back and work for 2 years after completion of their degree in UK.

W.E.F 29th June 2008, the following schemes have been closed:

		Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP)
		International Graduate Scheme (IGS)
		Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland

Foreign students who have graduated from a UK university can apply to work in UK under the New Points Based Systems. They can apply under the category of either “TIER 1 Post –Study worker” or “Highly Skilled Worker – TIER 1 (General)”.

Applicants will not be awarded points for Post Graduate Diplomas or PG Certificates other than Postgraduate certificate in education.

Post Study Workers – You can apply as a post study worker if you are:

		In UK with permission to stay under the Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS), International Graduate Scheme (IGS) or Fresh Talent : Working in Scotland Scheme (FT:WISS)
		In the UK as a Student, which includes students, student nurses, student writing up thesis and want to switch into the post-study work category
